Wow this was really emotional throughout but really perfect.

It was so sad that Fernando had a sad childhood but at least Dan was there and the ending was very sweet <3

Loved it, thank you!

I really want to cry every time I think about that there are actually children out there who have such a childhood. *sigh* Yeah, Fernando was lucky enough to have Dan. :) Thank you!!

Exactly, I think it's really easy to say "why don't you just live your own life" if you look at it from the outside, but if it really is your family then it's probably not that easy at all.

Yes, let's hope Dan will never even think about having to take back his promise. (But him and the digger... aaawwww yes.) :D

Thanks a lot for the comment! &hearts

This gave me goosebumps, and made me warm inside.
Even if Nando's parents being so violent was really scary, Dan's sweetness, caring ways and just mere presence made me forget about it, and think that they have such a bright future together!

I'm really glad to hear that it made you feel that way. :) I really hope that they do have a bright future, even though they're only characters... oh well. :D

This is so heavy, and you handled it so well. It was so heartbreaking picturing a little Fernando seeing his mother get hit, seeing her with a knife in her hands, running out with soap flying around, and humming a tune to himself to keep himself calm.

I love all the details you put in so effortlessly, like Dan's digger, or the creases in the asphalt.

Great work here. ♥

I don't remember anymore how you think like a child, but as long as it's credible I'm glad. And I felt really sorry for him writing this too... but, well, in the end he has Dan so he makes it through. :)
