Writing advice... Please?

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
I lost a close friend on Monday. It still seems unreal, can't even believe I am writing this down. I don't think i've ever felt pain like this.
We're planting a tree on his name on Friday.
Rest in peace my dear friend, you will be missed but will forever live in our hearts. -
CALLING ALL ANIMAL LOVERS FOR HELP
Two dogs were attacked in the city I live in.
One of them was my friend's dog Milo, a chocolate labrador who was hit with a machete 8 times. The other was a little chihuaha called Lola, who unfortunately didn't survive since the attacker purposely broke her neck and threw her in a dumpster (all in front of her owner, a little kid).
