All things considered, He's a decent guy.

Still no answer to my request for translating help with the Oofuri scene in the latest chapter. Trying somewhere else now, but I may just have to give up on this one. *sniff* Read ahead through the next game with Musashino/Kasukabe. It was pretty much as uninspiring as I feared, but it was also shorter than I thought, so yay~ Not sure if things ( Read more... )

You're getting skinnier? You're not trying one of those unhealthy diets, are you? D:

But wow, your brother is amazing. He can actually speak all those languages? I find 3 more than I can handle already. *fails* And whut? "Spread your genes." XD That sounds so weird. I can't imagine how that conversation went. I'd be freaked out the entire time.(By the way, is your mother aware that your brother is gay?)

(Not at all! It's great that you can think of yourself that way. That means you have confidence in yourself, right? :D)

Hahaha, no. I think it must just be because my eating schedule changed when I started working and I spend less meals at home where my mother shamelessly stuffs me with rather odd "meals" (today's breakfast was french fries and onion rings with dipping sauce. nothing else ^^). Also possibly because I play DDR semi-frequently, though then again I used to do that all the time and it never changed my weight that I noticed. I guess it's the combination? ...I hope? ^____^; (Unexplained weight loss is a symptom of diabetes, as is unquenchable thirst which I had for a little while, and my family's got a history of it. So I wanted to test my blood sugar, and my mom has a test, but we never quardinate a time in which both of us have time and remember to do it before I eat. Also, Mom thinks I should just stop eating sugar. Surely then it doesn't matter if I have diabetes, so we don't need to do any test or go to the doctor! ^_^;;; I really need to do that... But the thirst has gone away, so I'm hoping it was just a coincidence T_T ( ... )

Oh. No diets. That's a relief then. I just get worried sometimes when people say they're getting skinnier because it seems like the world I know consists of people who's greatest wish it to be skinny. Not that they're pretty skinny already. And some are even so dangerously underweight-looking that my mom insists I make them check with a doctor. Sorry. A history of diabetes? That sucks. My family's got it too, on both sides. We gotta watch what we eat, huh? :) Although if you're really worried, then it really is best to check. I hope the thirst was just a coincidence too. (And to stop eating sugar is definitely not the way to go. The solution, according to my mother, is 'moderation.' It's her favourite word ( ... )

Haha, no offense taken, I totally get it. Sooooo many people out there that act like if they can't be skinny/skinnier that they are somehow (ironically? hahaha ^_^;) less of a person. And they try some pretty messed up stuff to lose weight. *sigh* It kind of freaks me out my mother is so happy actually, as she only started noticing I was losing weight recently (I go around in baggy night gowns a lot at home, heheh), and thus seems to have assumed that it all dropped off within the last month or so. To change in weight that much that fast would be RIDICULOUSLY DANGEROUS. If she seriously thought that, she should be WORRIED, not THRILLED. Lol ( ... )

Oh, cool! I posted it up a couple places where I usually ask for help with problems I have translating, but I didn't get any replies like I usually do (though one of them was only a couple days ago, so maybe that's why....or maybe it's because it's so long, hahaha). It's here: http://www.manganews.net/forums/showthread.php?p=28988#post28988 You don't have to look through all of it if you don't have the time. I'm just sad to miss some of those bits! They seem like they must be filled with FASCINATING information, you know? ^_^

It sounds like even though you're in a tough situation, that you're doing okay. I'm sorry you have to deal with these issues though. You must be very strong.

Hahah, did it sound tough? I didn't mean it to. ^^ I think my mother is funny. Her...weird ideas...can be troublesome sometimes, but I don't think she actually gives me any more stress than the mothers of other girls in their 20s still living at home. Plus she makes good stories. <3

It did sound tough, but obviously I read it wrong. I'm glad you get a kick out of your family. (Plus good writing material) Phew! ^_^
