well Truth hurts as they say. In a way I think the better friend doesn't say all things you might want to hear.

Right now I'm definitely sure there are other things to focus upon, at least in our particular friendships, than this individual moralism. This isn't so that that all moralisms are equal or even that all moralisms have particular significance, but I for one don't want to see the Jackson/Barnsess alliance shaken over this particular disagreement.

I think that there is a lot of thought, debate which could be done on what is 'essentially Christians' or what is constituted in 'truth'. However, what immediately occurs to me upon reading this particular comment is that not everything that hurts is truth. Hurting is not something which can be immediately associated with conviction. Conviction involves, in my opinion, a certain degree of inner shame which is something unmeasurable by outside parties.

Also, all for letting the dust settle on this.

Its about where you allegiance lyes with God or with man. Kant would agree Existance is a precursor to thought. We are knit in our mothers womb... God acting and yet we kill the action of God in abortion or contraception. I will dust off my sandals here and probably won't bring it up again but its a very defining issue and one that essentially makes us Christian.
