I'm not even sure what I'm writing about but we'll see how it goes. I'm really happy with the As Cities Burn Cd I bought. Come Now Sleep is much different then the previous album. I think the loss of their screamer was such a blessing. I think they put together a pretty cool set of songs some very mellow and some very up beat but the disk flows well. I have my favorites of course like the Hoard which I think I will post the lyrics. These are pretty straight forward but I think i'm seeing a trend in straight forward lyrics... Like the Emery Cd which I think is very purposeful. I think bands like As Cities Burn and Emery are tired of putting out lyrics that many people don't understand. They want to drive home their message. I mean songs like the death to inconvenience are so blatant their slapping people in the face. I think the message needs to get through to people that Abortion is one of the great examples of convenience ruling our society. Frankly it pisses me off. Philosophically, scientifically, ethically it doesn't make sense. We see the terror it causes women when most of the time people get over rape and yet the guilt and suffering of Abortion continues. Anyway as for you who claim Christ, a God and a divine plan and yet still claim pro-choice... your the cop outs, the hypocrite's who don't stand up for morality. Sorry Christ is offensive.
The Hoard
They say that good boys walk straight on white lines.
Good boys keep their livers clean,
And smoke out of their lungs.
'Cause it's all about what you've done,
Good boys don't make mistakes to learn from.
'Cause when heaven comes,
They won't be caught being young.
Grace make your way to the well,
To those who deserve it.
After all they've earned it.
But vain, it's in vain,
'Cause they don't need it.
They're steady, steady breathers,
Who won't lift a finger for the gasping weaker.
You just hoard your hollow completion,
Like it's something wearing thin.
Like it's gonna get you in, When heaven comes.
'Cause when heaven comes,
I swear it comes in love.
Grace make your way to the well,
To those who deserve it.
After all they've earned it.
But vain, it's in vain,
'Cause they don't need it.
Now I let go of your hand somewhere between,
Love and what it demands of me.
Grace make your way.
