A few questions about the ending

Hello !

I've just re-read the ending of the manga, for fanfiction purposes, and there are still some details which need clearing.

Heavy spoilers for the ending )

I'm guessing Shiina's mother, Takeo, and Akira died a few weeks or so after the end of chapter 66 (when Shiina has sex with Takeo).

Well, it was chapter 21 when Sudo's gang learned about Shiina's connection to the dragons, because they saw her involved in the military fight with Amapora and Hainvelle. Akira knew from the first volume in the locker room, and Takeo and Norio must have known by the time Shiina found Hoshimaru on the island.

I have no idea what happened to Ensof at the end but my guess is that the government took him away like they did with Satomi and Bungo's dragons.

Thank you ! I was what I had guessed, yeah. That I hoped, at least. (So I can write Shiina-and-Akira-talking-at-the-hospital-fic ! :-) )

Yeah, but I wanted to say : the ordinary people, the ones who fill Shiina's mother, Tsurumaru, and maybe Akira, how did they learn ?

Yeah, it must be that, for Ensof, I hadn't thought about it, thank you (it still doesn't explain why they couldn't merge, though. You can do it from a distance, can't you ? Or at least, what happened to him and how he reacted, like in Norio's case... Do you have an idea ?)

Shiina's mother must have found out a little bit of Shiina's involvement with the dragons sometime during volume 12. I'm too lazy to look up exactly where it is right now. But her mother didn't ever know all the big details - like Shiina's dragon being the world, or her child being the start of a new humanity. She just knew Shiina had some involvement with the people who had dragons.

I think the human has to want to merge with a dragon at least a little, for it to happen. Sudo seems to have kept from merging by willpower. Akira hates most everything to do with dragons and has very little self-preservation instinct, I think that (and her general Akira-ness) would stop her from becoming otohime.

That's just my guess. I don't have any guesses on the other questions, at least not right now. =)
