Leaving Shizuya to deal with the rather unimpressive guards (was Orochimayu trying to insult him? Surely she knew that he wasn't playing games about his student), Tsurude trekked onto where Sakurai was being held. Would Orochimayu be there? He didn't feel particularly strong chakra and not that familiar slimy feeling down the back of his neck when she was nearly. Perhaps if it was just him and her minions, things would go smoothly.

"So it's you," Tsurude narrowed his eyes at Haku, prepared to rip out her heart with his bare hands if necessary. Maybe he would give it to Orochimayu as a gift. Anger rolled off of Tsurude in waves, the room crackling with electricity. "Either hand over the boy or prepare yourself."

The sight of Sakurai looking so down and out was almost painful, but the Hokage wasn't going to let anything deter him. Sakurai was alive and in a few seconds this Haku girl wasn't going to be if she didn't get the hell out of his way. There wasn't much time to fight though, Sakurai needed medical care ASAP.

Haku had heard about The Great Healer Tsurude, of course. One hears a lot when one travels their whole life. And in her afterlife, she got to occasionally hear the bitter word or two from her snake keeper.

"...Tsurude-sama, then... I take it." Haku murmured quietly, one dead eye staring back at Tsurude, the other covered by half of a missing-nin mask. She drew back a hand, and...

Unlocked the cell door, pushing it open for Tsurude, then stepped to the side with her head bowed. If he was to take it off anyway, well, she was skilled, but humble, and Haku did not believe for even a moment at her chances against a Sannin.

Sakurai was a huddled dark ball in the corner of the cell, his chains no longer suspending him from the wall but wrists still bearing the mark of being held there for so many days. Spots of skin that weren't covered by scraps of (bloody) clothing were covered with welts, bruises, tell-tail nail-scratches...

He was, however, still breathing.

Too easy. Tsurude wondered if this was some sort of trap. If Haku planned to lock him in there, perhaps she hadn't heard of his ridiculous elephant like strength? This girl was such a pawn-- did she even know it? Did she even care?

"I hate it when tools like you say my name-- you're making it dirty," Tsurude took Sakurai and threw him over his shoulder. "You would have been better off dead than working like this."

For a moment, Tsurude considered doing this girl a favor and ending her life but he could hear Shizuya struggling on his own against whatever was out there. They would have to finish this another time. "Tell Orochimayu I send my love," he said with a sneer.

While the bars would not hold Tsurude for long, the cell was made with the intent to keep Sakurai in there, at least. They'd hold long enough for Orochimayu to get there ( ... )
