With a silent prayer to Kami-sama for luck, Kimimari stalked into the civilian community with Haku and Zabuza, pulling her ulna slowly from her arm. The eerie red glow of the sunset seemed all too perfect for the mission they were embarking on.

"Remember the numbers we need," Kimimari stated flatly to her companions. "Civilians first. Collect them, then make ready for the shinobi." She hardly waited to finish her last statement before she approached her first target, clubbing the young woman on the head and knocking her unconscious, waving the other two on to begin.

Haku watched the woman fall. 'Disgusting' she thought, in full realization that she had done far worse under her own free will.

But that was different. That was for Zabuza-san.

Haku was also quite aware of her own hypocrisy, but she was good at not letting it bother her.

A curt nod served as an indication that she had heard Kimimari, the only response before she pulled out her needles and darted after a small group of men that had just turned the corner to see them standing over the woman's unconscious body. Faster than normal eyes could follow Haku leapt between their group, throwing her needles and hitting pressure points to knock them unconscious for several hours before even hitting the ground once more.

The other girl's skills were impressive. Kimimari felt a slight twinge of jealousy when she remembered that Orochimayu-sama had personally resurrected the homely kunoichi. She brushed it quickly from her mind, however, and focused on the task at hand.

Not wanting Haku to get ahead, Kimimari sprinted around the corner to find more targets and selected a young couple close by, still oblivious to the attacks. She went after the man first, slamming her ulna into the back of his neck and sending him sprawling, before landing a swift punch to the girl's abdomen, knocking them both into a stupor. She quickly finished the job with two more punches and moved on, not concerned her comrades.

The count was still low.

Haku dashed out past Kimimari, continuing on ahead. She was as quick and efficent as one of the needles she used, flying into groups and dispacting everyone inside before a single one of them could hit the ground. She took them out in twos and threes, casting them to the ground, sparing only children and those not healthy enough to fir the expiriment criteria. They would serve well enough to sound the alarm and bring them the shinobi they required.

In record time, and without any chakra use, she turned to Kimimari. "My quota is filled, what is our count currently?" She could not see Zabuza-san, but had no doubt that the older woman was finished as well.

Not having bothered to reply to the Sound-nin Zabuza watched Haku leave before then turning her eyes towards a different part of the town. After all there was no need to accompany the two younger girls, both of them more than capable to look after themselves.

Since the alarm had not yet been raised Zabuza took her time eyeing several people in speculation before discarding them. Finally coming upon a young man that looked both healthy and unarmed as well as alone she silently closed in on her unsuspecting prey. A quick motion of her wrist, the hollow sound of metal impacting on flesh and the first of her allocated specimens was collected.
