It is the hum that warns her, barely in time-- but in time enough.

As she comes around the corner, headed slowly from Antigone's room to her own, the bloodstained white cloak writhes into the green kirtle once more, and her form blurs as she appears again to the outward eye as the tall, almost-fey figure of Anghared.

This evening, however, she is not as fair as when last seen. One hand and part of her arm is marked with the red of a burn, and she is limping slightly, her other hand pressed to her side.

Blue eyes are cast down towards the floor, as she slowly makes her way along the corridor-- she does not appear to notice him.

He sets his tea aside as well, standing and bowing slightly, with a self-mocking smile on his face.

"You honour me, Lady."

She looks troubled at the quality of the smile, and so teases him lightly, saying, "And here it was you, my lord, who told me that in your Narnia everyone is honored."

He laughs softly, saying agreeably, "and so they are. Shall we see you safely to your room, so that you can rest and recover from your hurts?"

Holding the dagger carefully in one hand, she slowly rises from the chair.

He helps her up, solicitous but not crowding, and opens the door, leading her into the corridor.

It is not all that far, really. Down the hallway, across it and into another, and soon she draws him to a stop at her door.

"There," she says, the soft musical voice pleased. "And without even seeing another face, friend or foe."

He smiles again.

"Call me overcautious, but I would err on the side of caution when it comes to your safety."

Another bow, and he kisses her hand.

"Sleep well, my Lady. Join me for tea tomorrow afternoon, perhaps?"

"I should be delighted to, my lord," she says softly, smiling at him.

He sees her safely into her room, and then as the door closes behind her, he returns to his own room.

The woman in his dreams tonight has an indistinct face, an indistinct form, and her eyes change from blue to brown and back again.
