He's been here a few days now, yet to find his father or the other Narnians, but just being here in case something happens makes him feel a little better

It is the hum that warns her, barely in time-- but in time enough.
As she comes around the corner, headed slowly from Antigone's room to her own, the bloodstained white cloak writhes into the green kirtle once more, and her form blurs as she appears again to the outward eye as the tall, almost-fey figure of Anghared.
This evening, however, she is not as fair as when last seen. One hand and part of her arm is marked with the red of a burn, and she is limping slightly, her other hand pressed to her side.
Blue eyes are cast down towards the floor, as she slowly makes her way along the corridor-- she does not appear to notice him.
After several minutes, she comes back into the room, carrying the pot of salve, which she sets down on a table. The gauze is not visible, having likely been used for bandages; the cloth is also not visible, and although it might be presumed to have been left with the other linens for tending, it will not be found so.
Not with her blood on it. No, the cloth is buried deep in a hidden pocket, for now.
She takes a step toward him, smiling a little. "You truly are very kind to me, my lord."
"I confess I'm glad it was me and not another," he says quietly. "I would not have you hurt for all the worlds, but I am glad that it was I who found you tonight, and not someone less inclined to kindness."
After a few moments, he asks carefully, "would you prefer to stay here tonight, if it would make you feel safer? I'm well used to camping out, so it would be no hardship, and I would have you sleep well in the knowledge that I shan't let anyone harm you."
"And I would not have you think that of me, Anghared. But you need rest to recover, and if you would sleep better with someone guarding the door, then I am willing to act as guardian for you while you sleep this night."
She considers-- inwardly weighing a number of factors.
However, it is only a few moments before she says softly, "I thank you for your kind offer, Rilian, but surely I will be safe enough locked in my own chamber."

"No less kind than you deserve, my Lady. Please, sit down, the tea will help, and I imagine the quiet as well."

Anghared sits in one of the armchairs and takes the cup of tea that Rilian offers, waiting for it to cool.
"I am glad to have seen you this night, even though I would you had not found me so."

"So many such there are here, I suppose."
She looks down at the teacup, refusing to meet his eyes.

His own voice is soft, his eyes melancholy.
After a moment, he stands, retrieving a jewel-hilted dagger, sheathed in soft leather, from the desk.
"I would have you carry this, my lady, that you might be better able to defend yourself if it came to that again."

"But-- such a valuable gift-- I cannot--"
Reply
"You can, Anghared. Your safety is more valuable than any material thing I might own."

"My lord--" She falters, or seems to. "Rilian." Anghared smiles. "Thank you."

"You are welcome, Anghared."

A beat, and she looks up at him once more.
"Surely it cannot be so dangerous as all that?"

He smiles reassuringly, sipping his tea.
"Allow me to escort you back, at least. This night has not been easy for you, I fear."
Reply
"Less trouble than it might have been, had I not chanced to encounter you," she murmurs. "And accept I will, the gracious escort that you offer."
