  • taking blood pressure medication that gives me side effects

    • sleeping more than I thought was possible

    • not noticing low blood sugar symptoms due to blocking of calcium pathways by beta-blockers

    • sleeping some more

    • having pins and needles in her hands all the time

The pills are good at controlling the blood pressure, and nothing is bad really, just tiring, maybe it is the spring which is encouraging us to relax in the sun?

I think I may be becoming some sort of large cat, curled up in the sun! I will see if I can find a picture of my belly + passenger.

I hope so! Peaceful baby would be good. I am not sleeping well at night, but dozing during the day is lovely. I have never been good at not doing anything, so having it enforced is very strange, and it seems to take over. I keep dreaming of all the exploring we're going to do (and the fact that I'll be able to sleep on my back again!).

Despite feeling knackered, sore, bewildered and a bit scared, nothing compares to the feeling of having the greater part of my torso back. Lungs, how I have missed you...

My mum avows that a bucket with a tight fitting lid is essential to cloth nappy maintenance. You heard it here first ;o)

Oh, my lungs, and my bladder, I take back whatever it was that made them split up with me... I want to try again! I do love them really...

AH! I was thinking only this morning that you hadn't been on LJ much, and I thought perhaps the Squid had turned up early. Glad to hear all is well, lack of breath and sore feets aside.

It's not pre-eclampsia, it's only pregnancy related hypertension. They're keeping track of me every wednesday and some fridays! Don't fret. The pins and needles are side-effects of the meds, as is the sleepiness and the weird blood sugar effects. My blood results and urine tests show no signs... They're giving me the meds to manage the risk of pre-eclampsia.

Thanks for your concern.
