This time next week, I won't be in Vancouver, but I will be spending my last day at work pre holiday. I am already in internal holiday preparation mode. This does mean running around work like a headless chicken, trying to sort things out, cos OMG OMG I am so not ready

My panic will probably set in on Monday. I'm doing last minute shopping on Saturday, test pack in the afternoon so I can see what I'll have to sacrifice. Then I'll have the Monday to prep photo gear and laptop and sort out hand luggage, which should leave Tuesday for relaxing and lots of sleep, a quick visit to the pub in the evening to say good-bye and an early night as the next time I will see a bed will be sometime on Thursday morning our time (or thereabouts, can't remember the exact itinerary).
