So, today we had an odd thing happen in class: we were given time to have conversations about things OTHER than A Trip to Deutschland. lol... I realized today, as I was chatting with these guys, that I had known them and been stuck in this series of classes with them for almost two years and I still didn't know their last names. Until today.

LOL it's funny how sometimes you're so involved, yet detatched, when at school. i did that too, to some degree. like, i'll still see people that i had multiple classes with and not know who they are.

That's kind of crazy... did this happen with people in your Russian program? Was it such a big group that you guys just didn't get to know each other? For how long were all of you involved in the program? I just felt like... it's one thing to be in a class where I don't have to interact with anyone, but language classes force one to be extremely social - so as to learn the language... so I dunno... it doesn't help that I have many of these people in my conversational class too... and I'll probably be continuing on with many of them in the German prog. at PSU in the fall. There's a couple I've gotten to know pretty well, but mostly not.
