I just read this whole fic, and I found it so sweet, captiating, and touching. You depicted the characters so well; their words and reactions were very natural; and you really made me believe in their situation via their interactions. AMAZING job.

I found the first part in sarah land, and made my way here. I read the whole thing. I couldn't stop reading it!! I had to know what happened next. Just Listen has a very special place in my heart for a few reasons: 1, Owen reminds me of my boyfriend Keith. I pictured Owen just like him, he has the same personality, the anger background, and everything (he's in my user info if you want to have a look, haha). I have never read a book that I have seen my boyfriend in before, and this was it. 2, I'm a high school English teacher and I created a whole 4 week unit on this book. I haven't had the opportunity to teach it (but am hoping that will change in the future), and it was one of the first units I ever created when I was in undergrad. I spent months perfecting it for my class and preparing it so it would be ready to teach. This book was amazing when I first read it, but has stuck with me because of all of the time I have spent with it for work and school ( ... )

I’ve never had such a great and complimenting comment before! The fact you know this book and its characters so well and still enjoyed my story is in itself a huge praise in my eyes. But adding the fact that you are deeply and personally involved with them and seem to have really enjoyed the story, you have me doing a little dance in my chair and gushing about your comment to my family!

I have to say I’m incredibly happy as well to know the approval came from an actual English teacher! I’m immensely flattered. I’m still a bit self-conscious about writing in a language not my own, even more so without an editor/beta to correct my mistakes ( ... )

I absolutely love this. I just re-read Just Listen, which is my absolute favorite of Sarah Dessen's books. The relationship between Owen and Annabel is just so pure and built on a real solid foundation of care and humor and honesty, and you really captured that here and showed how their relationship has only deepened in the months since the trial ( ... )
