I just watched a video on birch polypore. I have tons of them around here. He said, in his English jargon, that you can slice a piece of the fungi for a thin bandaid. You tie it closed with some nettle fibre

Speaking of fire starting, I made the fire starters with the dryer lint and candle wax that you showed us how to do and they worked awesome! We had a big bonfire here last night and burned a bunch of old wood scraps from the basement that we've been fixing up.

You're so welcome! I'm glad that information came in handy or you! You never know what tidbit helps each other out! I have three egg cartons waiting for wax on the lint. Now my dryer has broken...
