I'd never heard of drying daylilies for winter soups, but Patty sent me a video which showed him doing it. I went around the garden yards with dental floss on a needle and pierced all the flowers.
I have them hanging in the kitchen. I made Nancy Today videos of doing it, too.
I don't like using the word rustic, as it's really a city word that means bringing a little of nature into the artificial world of corporate production! LOL. Sorry

I just watched a video on birch polypore. I have tons of them around here. He said, in his English jargon, that you can slice a piece of the fungi for a thin bandaid. You tie it closed with some nettle fibre

You take ripened acorns and take the shells off. I use a nutcracker. Slow work, but worth the effort. Takes about a gallon of unshelled acorns to produce about two cups of acorn flour

I neglected to hang up the mint which Sue gave me last night. I took it out of the car and laid it on the freezer this morning. I guess I’ll tie it up tonight. I suppose hanging it over the table from my racks isn’t the best idea.
