i tried hard to make a simple animation before but i think our psps and animation shops are different. i'm going to have to consult some guides online and such. gave me a headache.

wow i love it! how did you do it, with the black and white/color? do you use photoshop or paintshop? i've always wanted to learn that. any simple tricks?
I use Photoshop 7.0. I took the initial image and cleaned it up with the airbrush tool. Then I adjusted the contrast to my liking. Then I copied the hair, eyes and lips and put them on their own layers. These I intensified in color with the Adjustment Color/Balance tool. The background I sponged black and white.
Then I removed the wall and added a layer underneath with the graphic of the man and woman, which I Free Transformed until it was at an angle I liked. I copied the woman's dress onto its own layer and sponged out the rest of the color.
Before flattening, I adjusted contrast again and voila. It's not a work of art, but it's fun. Photo editing can get really involved. I think the best way to learn how to use a program, though, is to just play.
no kidding, it's like, i've got these stalkers, see. no, actually most of the time i just get sick of my old screennames or think of new brilliant ones, it's not like old-school when i would trash half of the people on my old list then bitch about most of 'em, etc, etc. i just rename the journal and do what i was doing.
