The Basics
Name: Megan/Meggie
Age: 19
Describe the meaning or significance in your username: himitsu means "secret" in Japanese; I have a Nordic nickname, Sigrun, which means the same. Walkyrja is an older spelling of "valkyrie," I have an obsession with Norse mythology and the valkyrie is a being I like to picture myself as: strong, knows her calling, riding the skies.
Favorite color: Red.
Do you give orders or simple follow what's given to you? Truthfully, both. I love to give orders because I know things will be done my way and I like that feeling of authority. In turn, if orders are given to me, I will oblige to them.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Half full! To me, even if a glass is half empty, it can become full again, and if it wasn't the drink you had in it before, the new one is something different. You may not like it, but at least you tried it and drank it so you can try something else different - and that drink may be better then anything else.
Your favourite drink is? Apple juice - I have loved apple juice since I was a baby.
Smoking. Yes or no? It doesn't bother me much if other people smoke; if they want to kill their lungs, they can go ahead. For myself, no way, not with my asthma.
Scraping the Surface
What are your interests? Ancient alphabets: I love learning knew alphabets. Ancient history, mythology, fairy tales, folklore. Notorious serial killers: I've been interested in how their minds must have worked as long as I can remember. I love to study literature, mainly British Romantic and Japanese. Historical women, parapsychology, philology, poetry.
What are your pet peeves? I hate it when people never close the door all the way when they leave my bedroom, ignorance, emotional weakness, when people are late.
What are your hobbies? Special talents? Hobbies: Reading, studying my interests, singing, music.
Talents? Writing, I have been published for poetry three times. I did ballroom dancing for a short while. I've never been one to point out my own talents since I've never saw anything I do a talent. :x
Your strengths lie in… and why? I'm a good listener if you ever need one; I let myself hear both sides of any argument and try to stay as in the grey as I can, I don't like taking sides.
I'm emotionally strong to a point where I'm called cold hearted and conceited by someone who doesn't know me very well; I can take most things in the emotional department fairly well. I feel I shouldn't allow many things to dent me emotionally.
When I do find someone I fully trust, I'm very loyal to them.
I like to think I'm wise; I've been told I have the mental age of 25.
When it comes to classical literature, mythology or seemingly useless facts, to put it bluntly: I know my shit.
Your weaknesses are… and why? I'm very stubborn and bull headed. I don't like to admit I'm wrong often even if I know I am.
I have little patience for petty problems of any kind, even my own. I'll listen to them from others, but my answers are always something along the lines of, "Get over it," or "Move on." I feel such problems need to be taken like water of a duck's back.
Can books count as a weakness? :) I always spend between 40-80 dollars if I go in a bookstore. And bargain books get me every time.
Digging a little Deeper
Who do you admire (whether it be fictitious or real life) and why? I would have to say my friend and second mother, Lise. Lise is the strongest woman I know and for her to still stand as tall as she does after everything she has been though is something of a pure beauty to me to be admired.
What do you look for in a friend and why? Someone who will take me as I am completely: my bluntness, my beliefs, my choices - all of me.
Someone loyal, mature, strong, has a positive outlook; who is stable and focused and who knows what they want in life and who will overcome any obstacles - ones that we can get through together - in their way. Who is realistically ambitious (is there such a thing?)
Most of all, someone who could stand to live with the difficult person that I am. :P
If you were in a rock band, which position would you play and why? I like to think I'd be the vocals because I would gladly take any amount of lessons to learn to sing with that, like I call it, in-the-throat voice. But to be the bass player would be amazing too!
How would your ideal room/apartment look like and why? Oooh, Victorian with a modern twist? I love the Victorian era - the furniture is gorgeous! But I love the Modern style too, with brighter colors and funky furniture.
I think I would have to do the kitchen and bathrooms modern with Victorian bedrooms. It would either look really really good or like an interior decorator exploded in the place.
If you were a piece of jewelry what would you be and why? Earrings. Simply because I love them. There are so many designs and colors and they can go just about any where outside the body these days.

Who is your favorite character and why? I love Hachi! Truthfully, I'm an inner fashion whore. I love her clothes! Her personality is so cute and she's so sweet. :3 I would love a friend like Hachi - we could share clothes!
Who is your least favorite character and why? Sachiko - she seemed like such a weak person and her voice is so annoying. When I first heard it, I let out a "UUGGGGHHH" at the screen.
Your favorite pairing? And why? Ren/Nana. They have such a bond with each other and they really healed each others hearts.
Your favorite relationship? And why? Nana/Hachi - they have that friendship where they could sit next to each other for in silence and know exactly what the other one is saying. They show how opposites attract and how deep friendships are. They're a star-crossed friendship. :)
