I started cutting a new smock last night. I may have already screwed up in the body width, i.e. not adding sea allowance. Thank God for gores. I haven't remeasured yet to see. I only did body and sleeves last night. Yes it takes a while - I do the pulled thread method, it takes time, but I find it better in the end ( Read more... )

So we did an A&S open house day (a la Gina and Alistair) at our house yesterday. P did not have many takers on arrow/string making, but the lack of knowledge around the minutiae of arrow making makes this not surprising.
