I'm glad you had fun with your band. I wish I can hear you play, but I know you'll sound teriffic!
What a situation to be in with a kid. I would have done the same thing if I were in your situation. Naturally, kids can't change that much in one year.

Yup, band is fun... but sometimes, we all get frustrated with our director. It's a love/hate relationship thing between him and most of the students. My bass clarinet playing isn't too fabulous, but I think I'll suffice.
Thanks for your support with my kid fiasco. Ahhh, Chemistry homework, once more that's what I should be doing now... The class is hard, but the teacher's awesome and funny, so that's why most of us endure it. The thought of running from Chem crossed my mind, but I'm too much of an over-achiever to back down from the challenge. Lol.
You can play an instrument, which I find is amazing. I wish I can play an instrument. If could help me a great deal with my creativity. *Nods head.*
