I was pleasantly surprised by Beautiful Creatures as well! I'd read a good review somewhere, so I watched it, and was quietly delighted. I mean, it was so Southern! And the characters were great. I was very happy. I wish it had done better in the theaters. We need better movies.

By chance, have you read the book too? I'm debating whether or not to try and since the movie was such a pleasant surprise!

I haven't! I think it's a series? I might try though, since you've brought it up. If the book has descriptions half so lovely as the movie, I think I'd be happy. :)

I watched the first three episodes of Beauty and the Beast way back but I didn't keep watching because the het was boring me. But the ladies were great.

I saw Beautiful Creatures on the big screen and enjoyed it.

Yeah, I'm not too die-hard shipp-y about Cat/Vincent, but the show does enough stuff to keep me interested!

So pleased that you enjoyed Eden of the East. The series opened my eyes on problems faced by younger generations, specially graduates who are in between deciding whether to do their own thing or be part of society, get a job, etc. The romance between Akira and Saki are subtle and you can tell there's an attraction but they don't ponder too much on that side. Thank you for the fic rec! :D

Hee, thank you for all the anime recs! Honestly you, shimizu_hitomi, and crsg have been the source of most of the anime I've seen in the past 5 years or so!

(I actually haven't read the fic yet, but it definitely looks interesting!)
