Damn, damn, DAMN! I'm a huge Snicket fan, and from the trailer I was hoping that they actually got Carrey to rein himself in while playing Count Olaf (since they used some more subdued scenes).
And looking at her, I keep thinking that Emily Browning would make a perfect Ed if they ever adapted "Cowboy Bebop" into a movie.
I did mean live-action, just realized I forgot to clarify that. Ah well.
I don't see it working as one either, and I sincerely hope they don't attempt it. But I do tend to play the mental game of "If they WERE making a movie of XYZ, who would I cast as..."
Oh, good - I thought I was the only one who thought this was one of the lousiest movies I've seen in a while. Soooo slow. And Jim Carrey was not at all funny. Ro was disappointed in it. "They did one whole book in about 5 minutes... and got stuff wrong, Mom!"
I haven't read the books, and don't much like Jim Carrey, but I still liked the movie okay. Or perhaps I should say, I found the eye-candy (sets, costumes, Emily Browning) well worth the admission price even if the rest of it sucked :)

Now, if you mean live-action--I don't see it. I love "Cowboy Bebop", but I don't see that working as a live-action movie.

Enough to see it. Not enough to get it on DVD.
Damned with faint praise.
