I asked Social Security to please reconsider my benefits based on the fact that I am now divorced and not receiving income from my spouse. I got the letter today that they had already done that back in 2016 and won't be raising my benefits any further.

Holy fuck, I'm sorry. :( I'd send some money your way, but I will once I get myself replenished. Shit hit the fan up here, and I've felt the safest option was for me to stay in hotels this past week before I moved into a different apartment within company housing. I need to update you, but I'm trying to do what I need to to take care of myself outside of work since I have to wear a mask at work, and that's tiring.

You are an artist. And the nice thing about being an artist is that even if today you don't have the spoons to even get out of bed, the art you created still exists in the universe and people are looking at it, or reading it, and feeling better. Please know that you don't need to feel like a dead weight.
(Also, to be clear, everyone matters even if they haven't created art, pretty much everyone has a positive impact in some way).

Haven't heard from you in a bit. I disappeared off LiveJournal for quite a while myself. I tend to roll back my histories periodically to read things that made me happy. Your posts were a bright spot in my life during the early 2000s. Starting with the period fairy, moving through your love of the Underworld, and the leather jacket you acquired from one of the actors. Then your reviews of perfumes. It was something I always appreciated when they came up. So I wanted to drop by and see what you have been up to. Apparently life hasn't been easy, but know that there continue to be people who love your work, and think well of you.
