Get a little closer, let fold.

Saw the doctor yesterday, had my foot X-rayed, they haven't gotten back to me yet (?!?) but it's irrelevant at this point.  I'm walking on it again, if not comfortably for long distances.  I also got a good look at the X-rays after they were taken, courtesy of the two kind techs who let me behind the barricade to see my lovely little foot-bones!   ( Read more... )

My Lamictal was raised last Thursday. I already feel the difference. Hopefully your med change will be the same.

Oh, yay! Good for you, and that's really good to hear. <3 I'm glad you're feeling better, and I hope that I do too.

>>>A doctor who will respect you and understand you and validate you like that is worth their weight in gold.

OMG, this!!!

So glad that you had a good experience (and, westrider, that you found a good doctor!), and I really hope the raised dose works!

FWIW, when I sprained my ankle some years ago it was really bad at first, like my big toe grazing the ground made me cry, and putting my foot down, even without weight on it, was not an option. Then next day I could use my toes to help keep my balance standing on one foot, and the day after that I could hobble. When my mom broke her foot, and later her ankle, it didn't get better fast like my sprain. So it probably is a sprain, and rest, elevation, ice, and a supportive bandage will be all you need. :)

Yes! I only really needed to use RICE for the first 12 hours or so. It's better enough today that I only feel it if I put pressure on it a certain way. I'm fine.

Thank goodness.
