The steamponies are DONE. I will be photographing them ASAP, and hopefully they'll go out next week. Then y'all can have pictures once they're in their new homes, and the project will be complete. They are gorgeous, and I am foaming at the mouth to make you all look at them. It's taking reserves of self-control I was not aware I had not to post

Did you watch the Sleepy Hollow pilot? I know it looked TERRIBLE in the trailers--"The answers are in Washington's Bible!", I mean WTF--but actually it was surprisingly good. We get a badass WOC protagonist (who rescues herself and the male protagonist like eleventy-jillion times in a single hour), and the male protagonist is one of those high-cheekboned blue-eyed Brits with amazing hair that I think the BBC is breeding in a secret underground lab somewhere. But prettiness aside, he also has these frequently peevish line-readings that are howlingly funny: (this after he's been slashed in the chest with a broadaxe, woken up in a cave 250 years in the future, and been arrested for a murder he didn't commit) "You're being admitted to a mental hospital." "Excellent. This day continues to bear gifts." Anyway, if you missed it it's On Demand and on Hulu.

I really, really, really loved this, too. And GOD, he's pretty. He reminds me of a much-younger, much-less-craggy version of my beloved cavalorn, right down to the Nice Boots, and I was drooling uncontrollably during parts of the pilot.

They have FABULOUS friend-chemistry -- I could just sit there and watch Crane and Abbie snark at each other for HOURS. That's totally going to be the high point of the show, for me ^___^

Abbie is a *delight* -- she's incredibly expressive, a wonderful lead character, and WHERE HAVE THEY BEEN HIDING HER?? We agree that the actress could have VASTLY improved several leading female roles by knocking the current actress over the head and just showing up on set -- she's a delight. And it's DAMN nice to see a show with a woman of color as the lead :)
