Yeah, Etrigan is very quiet. Smooch is the noisy one. Which should not be the case, because Persians/Himalayans are supposed to be quiet, and Etrigan very obviously has some Siamese ancestry in there somewhere (he has a tiny tiny tiny kink in the tippy tip of his tail).
My sister's current cat Jeffrey is more often called Shithead. Her cat before that, named Sneakers, I renamed Demon Spawn early on and that was what the family called him for all his many years. Mine are all four individually and severally referred to as monster(s). Miss Kitty Fantastico (my best friend's cat that I inherited, I would never have named her that) is further called Grinchy.
Cats know perfectly well when you're talking to them, regardless of what name you're using at the time.
When we adopted our Hooligan, his foster mom told us that one of his alternative names would probably be "Shithead". We already have a "Demon Spawn", so that one's taken. Though the Hooligan richly deserves it.
Beautiful. I adore black cats. I still mourn my black Max. He was wonderful He used to sleep with his "arms" around my neck and his nose nestled in my ear. He purred all night long. His much littler sister Maxine (or "Little Max") was the daintiest and most beautiful little girl. Both long long departed for the rainbow bridge. I miss them both so much.
Now, I have little orange spawns and a Seal masquerading as a cat.
OMG Max sounds like the best cat ever. T_T I love cats that give good snuggle. That's, like, the only thing about Etrigan I would change, besides making him not asthmatic because I hate seeing him uncomfortable. I wish he was better at cuddling. He just stinks at it. I love him anyway. Asshole cat.
