Holy crap, these are such excellent cats. Friendly and gentle and playful and happy to be snuggled. And they are really, really beautiful

I'm so glad you took them both and that they're adapting well and easily. Give the other fur faces time to adjust to the new arrivals and I bet they will.
Smooch is going to be HUGE and god .. just a gorgeous cat!
Roadie looks like a neighborhood cat that adopted us .. and this is a very good thing. He's a very handsome boy!!
They are both just crazy beautiful. And Smooch has got to be just about the coolest-looking guy around, with his one eye and his glower, and yet being SO SWEET.
I love black kitties. I always wanted a black kitty, ever since I was little, and I was so happy when I got Ebony. And then when Ras had the two kittens that really look like they should be Ebony's. (They look nothing like Ras. Anyone who sees them assumes Ebony is Mama.) I was really taken aback when I found out, as an adult, that black cats are harder to adopt out.
Yeah, I've heard that too and I don't get it. You'd think someone smart enough to adopt a cat would be smart enough to not care if it was black. I mean, if you're going to shun black cats as evil or whatever, well, CATS have that same reputation as a whole, so if you're going to be a superstitious hateful ass, you should probably just avoid cats altogether. (And plenty of assholes do, for that very reason.) What on earth is going on with these people I will never understand.
I understand having a preference, sure. I will probably never own another orange tabby or orange tabby bicolor, because those are not my favorite colors and given equally friendly cats to choose from, I would probably choose something else, but it's not like I have anything against marmalade cats. I own one, FFS.
Awwwww. :D FWIW, I think their names suit them from what I can see in the pics, but I'm obviously not the one getting the full force of their personalities. :D Sending good vibes your way for the household integration. I'm sure things will calm down with time.

The black one in particular looks like he could be a sibling of our two black kittens. :)
