I am really really really sick of cops who are more obsessed with everyone showing them "proper respect" than concerned with doing their fucking jobs.

Robert McFarlan is a coproencephalon of the first order, and should be fired, not merely suspended.

Also, isn't there a law against hanging up on a 911 call? If not, there should be.

I remember hearing this story a while back, and my reaction was, understandably, "What the fuck?"

And so help me goddess if a 911 person hung up on me in that sort of stressful situation. I'd be down at the station pulling his balls off with a rusty pair of pliers by my ownself.

(first traffic accident I ever had, I was in high school, in a hurry to get to the dentist's office and turned left when I shouldn't have. A truck, whose driver was RUNNING the red light, hit me. I was 16, I kept going "oh shit." and the young officer kept saying, 'you mean oh, shoot, ma'am." I went, "NO, oh shit. When my dad gets done with me, oh, shit. " The officer kept his cool. I just got one ticket. The kid who hit me was driving a commercial truck with no such license and running a red light. I think he got several.)
