Word.

This is dreadful. A friend of mine used to work in an abortion clinic in Fargo and boy did she have tales to tell :(

They're presumed to be good white Christian boys. Terrorists are all dusky heathens.

Horrifying. God bless him, and receive him into Paradise, and put him on doorman duty when the guy who killed him bites it.

I wonder, if there are records anywhere of how many of the women he performed abortions for had life-threatening complications with their pregnancies.

I mean, obviously there are, but it would be kind of cool to, without naming any names, provide a number: how many women's lives did he save over his career?

Because it would be so awesome and so helpful, and piss the psycho pro-lifers off so much, if the pro-choice movement publicly all-but-canonized him for saving X many lives.

It would alter the dialogue surrounding late-term abortions, get the truth out about why late-term abortions take place, and would get more info about it into the public consciousness beyond "it looks sorta like a baby at that point."

Fucking Phill Kline. "I am stunned by this lawless and violent act, which must be condemned and should be met with the full force of law," Kline said in a written statement. "We join in lifting prayer that God's grace and presence rest with Dr. Tiller's family and friends." Like he's not secretly thrilled that Tiller's dead. Like his actions had no part in leading to this. Gah- I can't even articulate how this fills me with rage. Fuck you, Phill Kline.

"MUST be condemned." Like he's a kid being forced to clean his room. And praying that "God's grace and presence rest with" his family and friends---I suspect he doesn't mean comfort so much as inspiring a change of heart and making them "pro-life."

Yeah, I don't think this will win anyone over to his side. I just wish there was a way to prosecute those who have targeted Tiller over the years for inciting this. And I agree with the above comments that this is terrorism, pure and simple.

It'd be nice if Jeebus would tell His followers to STOP KILLING OTHER PEOPLE AT FUCKING CHURCH.

According to the Christian faith- he did. He came down, he showed people a new way to do things, and a new way to think and not judge- annnnnnd, some people just decided that well the Old Testament was the only part of the Bible they'd read.

Do you mind?

Some of us, namely Jews, use only the "old testament", and we don't go around killing doctors.

Good. I hope they got the right guy, and I hope they throw the book at him.

I kind of hope they throw boiling acid at him, but a sufficiently heavy book, thrown with sufficient force will do.

A carnivorous book, like the ones in Morningstar Hall's library.
