That second pic should either be macro'd "You wouldn't like it when I'm angry" or "Don't piss me off." --- she looks positively cranky in that pic.

She was all "Why'd you wake me up. Whuuuuh?" But she was purring like a faulty radiator boiling over.

Love the kitty pics. On a totally random, and I hope, also cheering note, I have been getting into finding out about sexy graphic novels/comic books. Inspired by a trip to Brussels, and finding myself standing in front of a HYUUUUUGE museum display of what would have been called porn in the UK or the US, but was actually an intellectual discussion of the difference between the male and female gaze of the artists, and the sexuality of the work they published. It was very definitely illustrated. With lovely things. I was standing next to a very elderly lady, who was equally as interested as I was. It was a fantastic culture shock moment.

Anyway, yes, to the point! I remember that you recommended some French graphic novels, and I couldn't remember what they were. Any good translations that you can think of off the top of your head? Thank you so much!

Anything illustrated by Enrico Marini; he's done stuff in Italian, French, and Spanish. The plots, ehh . . . pretty good, if sometimes incoherent . . . but the illustration is the best I've seen.

That display sounds way cool!

the display was awesome, I wish UK/US culture wasn't as generally prudish as it is. Everyone was interested and cool about it all.

I really wish I had written down the names of loads of the artists. I remembered Marini, and Milo Manara, but had forgotten all the others. Have ordered 2 volumes of Gypsy, and a volume of Serpieri's work, we'll see what it's like.
