I have a niece that actually appreciates dead things. Do you know how few people can say that? Anyway, this is what she got for Christmas. Most kids would probably be horrified to get a cat head in a box.
Heh. That's why I bought two. One to ink and one to leave unadorned.
I prefer to keep one unaltered specimen around if I can. My favorites are the engraved skulls, but something this thin and tiny . . . I'm not good enough to engrave it yet, and I don't know that I ever will be.
How gorgeous - I love the comparison picture with Fish posing with the cat skull. I'd never be able to get Bizkit to sit still for a picture like that, unless I wanted to have her looking at the skull to see what it was... It looks great in the box, too - where did you get the box from, by the way?
Serious camera hog. Ask bat_cheva. I was taking a picture of her the other day, and Fish heard the camera and came in and made a nuisance of herself until we pretended to take pictures of her, too. She doesn't understand what it is, but she knows it's important, and that she's "helping." And she gets attention.
She always tries to help, no matter what we're doing. Her nickname is Helpercat. She even has a theme song (Helpercaaaat! Helpercaaaat! She's a BIG help because she's faaaat! Helpercaaaat!)

I actually like the ink-runs into the sutures and think they make it look even better.
