Wow. Wow wow wowee. I know this was a horrible thing to wake up from but how very fascinating. There needs to be a horror novel written about this!

Not a novel, but a short story, maybe.

It would, of course, be so terrifying that anyone who ate it would go mad and begin devouring their newborn young. I mean, it was really bad. And that is just the stuff I can remember. There was a lot more I have mercifully forgotten.

Edit: I meant "read it," not "ate it." Though it certainly feels like something I ate.

At least I woke up with the cat nearby.
