Got bad news today.

My dad had to have Mathurin put down.

Long-time readers will remember Matt. (Mathurin's entries, obviously, are tagged appropriately.) He was my first black cat. Got him when I was 14. He's been living with my dad. The old cat was senile and crazy, but it was a happy kind of crazy, so we never really felt it would be

I KNOW! This past year and a half has just been brutal to pets. I think last year my f-list lost five cats total, and it's creeping up on that FAST this year, too. Very sad.

WTF lately. I had to put my cat down last Tuesday. Nearly everyone I know is having some gadawful problems with their pets and loved ones. *sigh* Stupid Death cycle.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's and your beasties. It's such a hard thing, but I believe like you do - that we find 'em again eventually.

Jeez! I'm so sorry about your kitty. As I said to Xtina above, last year killed five cats on my f-list, and this year is already almost as bad. She lost a kitty a few days ago, too, AND one last year.
