With hope; love should end with hope .

Oh, dear god. Just as I was preparing my own tribute, one month to the day after Heath's untimely departure, Geoffrey Chaucer one-ups everyone, and laments the death of Sir William Thatcher.

What a pleasure, to have tears of delight instead of sorrow.

Dear boy. Time eases the pain into fond, loving memory. I hold you to me, and keep riding on.

I was just about to forward that link to you. I didn't/don't have any sort of emotional connection to him, but your imagery *is* very comforting.

I love Geoffrey Chaucer's blog, and I'm so glad he did a tribute.

Amazing. Everything about this post is amazing.

*smooch*

I saw those pictures, too. I think that's how I want to be remembered. With stories and songs and good food and joy. Not with a religious sermon by someone who never knew me.

That was why we bent over backward to have someone who knew my mother speak at her funeral, and why I did the eulogy (which I still cannot believe I managed to do, holy crap). When my grandmother died, it was an awful funeral; the guy was just terrible, and it pissed me off so much I almost left. I would've, but I was blocked in.

I plan on writing part of my own eulogy and assembling my own funereal playlist. I already have an informal will on my computer, detailing how my crap is to be divided among my friends. One thing I am adamant about is that there is to be a massive party.

Ashes to ashes my ass. It's flame to flame. William had a phoenix as his coat of arms.

That? Just.

Yes.
