i hear you.
i lost my mom, too, although it;s been seven years now
and i lost dad this summer
and it IS a tangled web of different kinds of pain (that is a powerful idea)
and the holidays add a new layer to it all.
i am so sorry for your loss - especially at this time of year
and i hope this season goes easy on you.

If it's any help to you, I tend to envy you. At least you miss yours. Mine died and quite honestly I couldn't care any less than had it been any other dippy old woman.
