Thank goodness I can still see very well without them -- I only have a slight astigmatism in one eye -- but it makes doing delicate painting work hell. My depth perception is shot to shit!
Be glad you don't have my girlfriend's problem... she was born with a sort of a lazy eye and they fixed it, but she has to have a prism in her glasses (left lens) to make sure the muscles get/stay strong. Which means her depth perception is actually non-existant with the glasses on. Which usually results in *flail flail slap* Oh! There you are Dorian!
I was okay through most of this post, but when you got to the megawat drama-bulb I could not picture anything except an easy-bake oven. And someone trying to shove their ass inside. My brain hurts.
That's good things are looking up. You sure need it, after all. :)
I feel bad not writing a long response to a long post though. I don't know. It's one of my things. *chuckles*
I get concerned when things are okay. I don't know. I seem to have things go okay, then once I accept they're okay, they get screwed up again. It's been that way for the last couple years. :( But I got a job after getting screwed over by my last one, so that's a good thing.

(pause) Naamah, over here. (snapping fingers) I'm over here, more to your left. No, a little... there you go. ;)

She might slap me for it, though.

It's the inverse to the old "things have to get better" thing. Or, as a wise man once said, "This too shall pass."
Even the good stuff.
I hate that other-shoe-dropping feeling.
