That is almost exactly the same as one of the dreams I had just after my dad died (Sept the 3rd). I thought it was weird at first but my GBF said it was perfectly normal.
My dad didn't talk much in my dreams either, and he too was a bit of a gas bag.
So, point is, it seems to be a normal and theraputic part of mourning.
But, still bloody freaky if you ask me ;p I'm just glad mines seem to have stopped now.
At least 'I' don't think my nan comes into my room and moves my pictures! (not naming any big sisters!)

I awoke clearheaded and completely untroubled.

And that is the best part.
Sometimes our heads will suprise us and guve us exactly what we need.

Maybe being dead made her re-evaluate the importance of chitchat. Or something.

I've never had a dead person dream.

When my grandfather died, the morning before I was told he died, he came to me in a dream and just hugged me, not saying anything, and I knew he was gone because it was just so...warm and loving and *focused* like he wanted to make sure I knew he loved me before he "left". My grandma didn't come to me when she died (I think she was just ready to pass over) but after a few months I had a dream where I was in the living room at her old house and she was talking to this lady who I recognized from old family pics as a friend of hers. My grandma just looked at me and said "You just have to wait!" and that was it. To this day (a few years later) I wonder if that was her profound message or she was telling me to hold on a sec while she finished her conversation.

Huh. That's . . . kind of funny!

What a very grandmother thing to say.

yeah, lol, it kind of was. I'd like to think it was some advice or just her way of telling me to not be in such a rush all the time, lol.

Perhaps she knew that she only had a brief time wth you to tell you.

I had a slightly similar dream...my favorite high school teacher died during my Senior year of high school. On Christmas, actually. She was a wonderful woman. Anyhow, a month or so after her death, I had a dream in which she came to me and told me that since so many people had wanted her to come back to life, that she was alive again. Only wishful thinking on my part, of course.
