Well I've really neglected livejournal. I'd like to get back in the habit of posting occasionally. I read my friends page everyday, and I miss hearing from most people who don't post anymore, so I just figured I'm part of the problem. Holy Crap! I remembered that you were down south, but I didn't remember it was in Knoxville. The wedding we are going to is August 16th, but let me know if you might want to hang out the night before!!! Also - if you have any recommendations on what to do/where to eat, let me know!

Well it turns out I will be in St. Augustine when you are here. And they highlights of Knoxville are the downtown area and The Strip (the part of Cumberland Ave the runs along the UT campus). The Strip is like a watered down version of College/Beaver Ave. but there are some good bars (The Half Barrel for instance).

Downtown has Gay St. which has the Downtown Grill and Brewery and there is also Market Square which has some good restaurants (The Tomato Head) and bars (Preservation Pub). On Gay St. there is also a sushi bar that is pretty decent too.

And then there is the Old City area which has some club type joints and my favorite bar, Barleys (on East Jackson).

There are also things in the North and West but this town is like one giant suburban sprawl disaster so it's really quite huge. For more concentrated fun it's best to stick downtown and near the campus.

I love you, Nicole!!!! I was super duper excited to see a post from you! I don't post either, but I'll have to explain it to you in person. :) I'm very excited for when I'm one of your friends from State College that lives in the DC area. I sent in another job app on Friday, so hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later.......

I would LOVE it if you moved here. I don't know if you know this, but Steve sent me a bunch of the books that follow one that I borrowed from him once. I'm in the process of reading them - I have to finish so that next time you visit I can talk to him about them!

I have just been uber busy and not posting much. We should have dinner sometime this week. I'll give you a call tomorrow night to see about this week or possibly next.

Yeah, I'm the same. But I think we should try to post, even if it's just once every few weeks. That way we can stay in touch better.
