the rantings of a madwoman

I know it's only a week before I get to get on a plane and leave this God-forsaken city, but I'm going insane. I've been feeling so depressed ever since Scott left last night. First of all, my neighbors were screaming and partying and kept me up until one. Then I go to work, and the stupid new supervisor bitch decides to take away my half days on ( Read more... )

That's exactly how I felt at JPMorganChase, minus the feeling of going to college and still not feeling satisfied, since I knew I'd be going to college in Sweden.

I hope things improve. I know what it's like to hate your job, need more money, save up for something huge, and just wait, wait, wait. It sucks balls.

Soon though, you'll be soaking up the European atmosphere and seeing places you've wanted/been destined to see your entire life. It's kinda like fate fulfilling itself when you get to see places you've dreamed of.

I can totally relate to having a deadend job. I am really sick of working at the postoffice, mostly 'cause the whole company is about to go bankrupt in a year or so, so noone cares about anything. Some people actually frown at me being to polite and cheerful towards the customers!!! That just makes me want to scream. They're all like; Don't suck up to them, but hello?? Isn't that what customer service is all about? I only do it when I'm in a mood, though, since there are no perks wtth doing a good job there. But anyways... I think crappy jobs are just things everyone has to deal with in a certain period in their life. It's just something you deal with and move on. And I'm convinced that you're just weeks away from moving on from your crappy job. If you don't hear from SSA after you got back from Europe (which I am CERTAIN you will, how could they afford not to hire you??), you should go look for a new job. Maybe at Barnes and Noble's or something?? :-)

Yeah, it's a great book. It has sparked many debates between Scott and me, and he's never even finished the book.
