Yep, I still check this thing every now and then. Quick update. It's been 2 years and a month. I'm headed home for 3 weeks and shall return for another 11 months. I just want to go hang gliding. I want to breathe clean air. I want to see green grass. 1000 hours.
I've just reached over 1000 hours of flight time. 516 hours fixed wing, over 150 in hang glider, and 358 hours as a Blackhawk crew chief. In that time I've had engine failures, flown next to eagles, towed gliders, shot machine guns from the air, done a loop, spins and other mild aerobatics to my heart's content, soared high above mountains and low ( Read more... ) -

When you fly, looking down at the earth, everything looks the same. There are no boundaries, no borders, no politics, none of these things that are a product of human struggle. Yet another marker in time.
One of the things I absolutely enjoy in life is the sharing of a passion. Flight. Today I took up 5 people who had never been in a blackhawk before. 4 privates (one of them a friend) and 2 LTs. More or less, I'm posting here because Facebook is starting to not become my cup of tea. However, one has to understand the most relevant thing about it is that it is free. Busan trip number two
So here I am sitting in a king air flying back to Seoul. The seats are leather, white walled interior with wood paneling. Fancy. We just took a couple of hawks down to get painted.
