Looking at it in list form...it seems my initial suspicions were correct. He has no memory of the "questionable" people he associated with in the past. The Arrancar.

Too convenient. Clearly an act, considering just how much he remembers about each person. Some he only remembers a name, others he remembers a name and quite a bit about their histories. Very inconsistent.
As you pointed out, it seems impossible that he remembers absolutely nothing about a certain few people that he was known to have associated with.
