At the end of my 7am flight from Chicago to NY that was delayed 6 hours because of computer problems and then arrived during Tropical Storm Hanna that made the approach feel like all the roller coasters at Cedar Point, I saw the cute girl on my flight, who I was noticing because she was cute and I was bored, throw up into a not quite opaque white ( Read more... )

One of my patients is a huge Cubs fan and wants to live long enough to see them win the World Series.  Either she'll get her wish and die happy and relieved in a few months -- the latter more likely given the normal course of her disease -- or she'll live another year or two or few or will live forever.
