Be sure to point out to your mom that you thoughtfully insisted on ground-floor suites b/c you knew of her condition. Take credit where you can, after all.

Ma eats so very, very little that sadly I cannot entertain her with food, especially not with huge portions of candy-laced ice cream.

If you're in New York and want ice cream (which may not apply to mzrowan in this case), go to Chinatown Ice Cream Factory. Boston has plenty of ice cream places better than Coldstone IMO, but Chinatown Ice Cream Factory in NY is as good as the Boston places (Tosci's, Christina's, etc.) yet different from them.
