I nearly ran a little old lady over with my bicycle earlier today. I thought that only happened in films, but evidently I've been deceived. She's alright, for the curious, though her dog suffered a terrible fate.

With your bicycle? How can anyone suffer a terrible fate via a bicycle if it doesn't involve a car hitting said bicycle? Though I'm curious on what sort of dog it was that it could have been so injured?

I was taking the piss, but generally when on a bicycle, you can run things over. Though I've been struck by a vehicle before.

I'm sure the car would have hurt far more than a bicycle hit-and-run.
If you were just pissing about then you should have continued your story instead of admitting to it. Spin a savvy tale of the dog being a Rottweiler taken down my the thin tire of a 70s Schwinn.
