Friday was my final day at my job. To make a long story short, the company did an audit and found out they were not in compliance with their policy on contractors. Me and several other contractors had been on for longer than the policy allowed, so they had to let them all go. I'm sorry to hear about the job. On the bright side, they kept you longer than they were supposed to. And submitting your application again is a good idea considering they'd have to spend money to train someone new.

Well, I can't go back as a contractor, or not until six months have passed. The division I was working for can't hire any new permanent positions, either (one of the reasons they were using contractors). I am inquiring about positions that might use similar skills there, but there are rumours of a hiring-freeze, so who knows?
