Friday was my final day at my job. To make a long story short, the company did an audit and found out they were not in compliance with their policy on contractors. Me and several other contractors had been on for longer than the policy allowed, so they had to let them all go. There was a few weeks notice, but not enough to line up something else (especially given how freakishly busy Cece and I have been lately).

Updating the resume and contacts, looking at options, and wishing this hadn't happened when the economy was going down the tubes.
