Real Update....
I have been super busy typing my life away for my bachelor's degree (which I finish in the fall of next year). :) I finished my AA with a 4.0, and the ceremony is in April... I will be graduating with "Highest Honors"... :) I'm really proud. :) But there is so much work to write and I dont know what to do with myself sometimes.. :\ I got a new ( Read more... ) -

In Need of Ideas....
So schools have been canceled well into next week, which means not only that the kids missed Red Ribbon Week activities, and the fall parade, but they're just flat out going to miss halloween. With 80% of Miami still in the dark, we are not going out this year... out of 2500 signal lights directing traffic, only 18 are working, so it's just nmot ( Read more... ) -

The recovery....
Well, last time I logged on I said I was lucky to have power.. last night we lost it for most of the night, but got it back this morning... what a scare. With 95% of FPL customers out of power and down to 84% yesterday, I have (trust me) felst lucky all week, and what a week it has been indeed ( Read more... ) -
Hurricane Update...
First of all... I have to say THANK YOU to the communuty I live in because when it was built, they were smart enough to place the powerlines underground, so, today, as 3.4 million FPL customers (out of 4.2 million) do not have power in Miami-Dade and Broward counties alone, I have power ( Read more... ) -

Bored beyond imagination. My ears are ringing and my neck is stiff. I have been watching TV all day and finishing up my crochet. I have done 5 blankets since last weekend.. all thanks to Wilma. So I heard on the radio about these people winning 340 million on powerball out of Oregon. For somle reason here, they think people in Oregon don't need anything, like they have a whole state to themselves and they dont need money or something, and then 5 people won $200,000 for matching only 5 numbers ( Read more... )
