Wishful thinking - that L wasn´t dead - but I have to admit, I also hoped until the end!
It´s a bit unfair to compare Kubota´s acting with Yamazaki´s. I think they BOTH did a great job. Kubota was really really mindblowing in this and I am sure he secured himself some nice future-jobs through this reference (and yes, he surpassed Fujiwara!). But when being fair, one has to admit that the role of Light had a lot more potential than that of the always secretive L. Yamazaki played L wonderfully! And for my taste he dissapeared way to early in the dorama. Near couldn´t really replace him. (I have a feeling I will give you a calendar for Christmas, one full of Near´s, Aki´s and Miura Haruma´s - probably I will add other people over time).
This was a dorama I highly enjoyed and surely will re-watch some day. I´m really curious whom they will cast for the 2016-movie version. For me I´d say it HAS to be Kubota and Yamazaki again, although I doubt that they will really do it with them.
Course the both did a great job but obvs Kubota had a much wider acting range than Yamazaki in this which, once again, is the writers fault cos they could've easily made Yamazaki work both the crazy and normal spectrum too and I think he'd do just as amazing as Kubota =]
Don't get me started on fucking Near -___-
"(I have a feeling I will give you a calendar for Christmas, one full of Near´s, Aki´s and Miura Haruma´s - probably I will add other people over time)." =OOOO DON'T EVEN JOKE ABOUT IT!!!
Kubota and Kento are done with DN. We already know it's gunna be completely different actors =[
Ah, I guess I have to be careful about letting you know your Christmas-presents early...and perhaps I should send them anonymously ^-^. And I better not get you started on f**** Near ^-^.
