I KNOW - it seriously pisses me off.

These fucking "christians" think they own the patent on marriage - and the only reason to vote it down is to be petty, spiteful, selfish, and narrow-minded.

Evidently this represents the majority of Main voters. Shame on them... and a northern state at that.

the problem is that when we're in Portland, we're surrounded by like-minded people. I mean, 70-something% of Portland voted no. it's part of why I love Portland, but it's also something that can give us unrealistic expectations about things such as this ( ... )

I am a soldier, sworm to lay my life on the line in the name of freedom. But 53% of my neighbors deny that freedom to my fellow citizens? Bull-fucking-shit, Maine. Serious bullshit.
