I sympathise entirely with the 'more addictive than crack' problem. I'm currently hooked on the Doctor Who spinoff 'Torchwood'. And when I say hooked, I mean shipping pretty much EVERYONE, writing fanfic as if there is no tomorrow, and even making icons and wallpaper.

I'm doomed.

Hmm, shipping couples will be the end of me. I'm probably catching up on years of not particularly shipping any couples at all.XD

(By the way, I can't get MSN live messenger to work for some reason. At first it kept crashing as soon as I logged on and now it's not letting me join at all. I'm guessing this is connected to my comp's well-established internet problems)

Ahhh, software problems, how well I know them. I'll try to be on AIM more often, but probably not this week, because this week is utterly crazy.

Needs more icon space, dammit. allira_dream November 25 2006, 21:43:53 UTC
=DDDD It's great! I really love the way you've captured the voices of the characters, and the teenage awkwardness and just, really, how 'them' this seems.

♥ Great job!

I'm glad you thought so. Thanks :D

The more sadistic side of me giggled insanely at writing the awkwardness.

I'm gonna take a wild guess here and say you're from England.

You've got a good story, but in the future you may want to consult with someone about things like how the American school system works.

Germany, actually, but the point still stands I guess.

I thought about the school thing for a while, but all I can draw from are TV series, so some pointers would be welcome.

Yeah, the point still stands (and I am once again made sad and angry at the American school system because your written english is better than most native speakers).

Okay, the things that leapt right out at me were the use of 'headmaster' to and 'double lesson'. In my experiance, the latter almost never happens in the American school system, and the we use Principle instead of headmaster

Well, if it helps, my dad's English, so I was raised a bilingual, even if I spent most of my life in Germany. ;)

Okay, thanks, I took that into account and fixed those more obvious flaws. I do try to use American English when writing for US-based series, but ever so often the British upbringing does interfere. Old habits do die hard.

VERY enjoyable read! XD I love how you captured the awkwardness of the first kiss.

One thing:
So this was what life had been like for Peter Parker, ey? Well, brilliant.
Actually, Teddy can't know that Peter is Spider-Man, not at this point at least.

Thanks. I do love the innocence anbout them. ^__^

Yeah, *sigh* that was one point I was queasy about. In the end I figured the boys being the fanboys they are, might have put two and two together. (others have managed XD) But yeah, I will bow to superior experience. :D

Thanks a lot for the comment.

Ah, nothing superior about my experience. I just Know Stuff :P

Peter 'came-out' publicly as Spider-Man at the beginning of the Civil War, which, I guess, takes place several months/weeks after the events from your fic. Man, doesn't he regret it now... *evil cackling*

Mm, as a casual follower of the many comics series (albeit one who doesn't really have access to US-published comics without paying horrendous shipping rates) it is kind of hard to follow the finer points of the plot, so I'm grateful for any pointers I can get.

And I have to admit I cackled like a madwoman when Spidey and Wolverine had their guest appearances in YA; they're arguably my favourite Marvel characters, so seeing my childhood heros in my newest addiction was a treat.

Love your story! :D I'd put more constructive criticism here, but I just woke up and don't have enough caffeine in my blood...

I can sympathise. Really. Coffee is the be-all and end-all of everything. XD

I'm glad you enjoyed the fic, thanks for leaving a comment.
